Rocking chair

Great lines on this Danish styled rocking chair. Nice curves to the arm rails really add to this piece. Rubber banded seat support. Low seating position and high back provides that 'laid back' feel. Beautiful patina on these bentwood chairs with tapered pencil backs and black nauga seats.
Nemschoff (f.1950), of Sheboyban WI, is a leading furniture manufacturer in the healthcare industry. Interesting to note that Nemschoff acquired by Herman Miller in 2009. Healthcare!? Trying to imagine where these chairs would fit in a medical institution.

Danish Modern styling with brushed aluminum thumb pulls and leg caps. 4 drawer credenza with top drawer silverware dividers and single shelf behind 2 sliding doors. Mark Coomer Serigraph

Original 50s Modern!

Mark Coomer Serigraph of the Executive House (now Hotel 71) at Wacker and Michigan in downtown Chicago. Coomer, born in Bay City, Michigan lived in Chicago for a short time and produced a number of city scenes. The Coomer-framed serigraphs are difficult to find. Coomer is collected for his modern graphic design style. His architectural themed works are my personal favorites.

This print was framed by Coomer in gold contemporary frame over 3/4" painted foam board.

Seripgraphs are printed with permanent inks and are actually washable with water! So, the water marks on the back sealed paper in no way effect the integrity of this piece.
